On 10th August, the Universal Medicine Intake Campaign was launched at the Padrauna Primary Health Center (PHC), bringing a new wave of health awareness to the people of Padrauna and surrounding areas of Kushinagar. The initiative aims to protect citizens from filariasis (elephantiasis), a mosquito-borne disease that can cause severe swelling and disability.

During the campaign, health workers distributed antifilarial medicines to residents. Officials stressed that these medicines are safe, free, and necessary for everyone, even those without symptoms. By ensuring mass participation, the community can effectively stop the spread of filariasis and move closer to the goal of complete elimination.

Radio Pragya, the local community media platform, is playing a key role in spreading the word. Through radio broadcasts, public messages, and expert interviews, it is encouraging families to take the medicine without fear and support the campaign.

The program reflects the growing commitment of Padrauna and Kushinagar towards public health. With strong cooperation between citizens, health officials, and awareness efforts from Radio Pragya, this campaign is a vital step towards building a healthier, filariasis-free Kushinagar.
