Radio Pragya 90.4 MHz, the voice of Padrauna, Kushinagar, has once again brought pride to the district. At the 7th National Conference of Community Radio Stations, organized by the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Radio Pragya received top honors for its outstanding programming and community impact.
The three-day conference was held at the Ambedkar International Center, New Delhi, where nearly 262 community radio stations from across India participated. The highlight of the event came when Union Cabinet Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar presented awards to outstanding stations.
Radio Pragya’s Managing Director, Shri Parshuram Srivastava, was honored on stage with the First Prize for “Mastermind of the Week” program and the Third Prize for the “Ladies First” show, along with certificates of appreciation. These awards reflect the station’s dedication to educational, cultural, and social programming that resonates with the local community.
The event was graced by senior officials, including Secretary Atul Khare, Joint Secretary T.C. Kalyani, and Additional Secretary Atul Kumar Tiwari, underscoring the importance of community radio in India’s communication ecosystem.
This recognition highlights Radio Pragya’s role not only as a local voice of Kushinagar but also as a national example of how community radio can empower citizens, spread awareness, and inspire change.
